Association for Computational Mechanics (Singapore) - SACM
Established in 2006, the Association of Computational Mechanics Singapore (SACM) is a non-profit making association to promote research in Computational Mechanics in Singapore within academic and industrial organizations. Membership of the Association is open to all individuals who are involved in scholarly or scientific investigation and advancement of the field of Computational Mechanics within organizations engaged in research and development activities. Post doctoral fellows or students pursuing postgraduate studies in the abovementioned field, and are attached to established R&D organizations, will also be considered for membership.
SACM is an affiliation to the Asia-Pacific Association for Computational Mechanics (APACM) and International Association of Computational Mechanics (IACM). All members are entitled with privileges to attend conferences and symposiums organized by APACM and IACM and with discounts in registration fees.
The objects for which the Association is established are:
-
To facilitate the exchange of information in Computational Mechanics amongst people in Singapore engaged in scientific research in Computational Mechanics;
-
To cooperate and affiliate with other national, regional or international professional bodies having similar interests to those of the Association;
-
To support and sponsor academic/research activities among members;
-
To print and circulate publications in areas related to Computational Mechanics.

SACM AWARDS 2023
Introduction
Since its establishment in 2006, the Association of Computational Mechanics Singapore (SACM) has been dedicated to advancing the understanding and application of computational methods in solving complex engineering problems. Serving as a platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange, SACM fosters interdisciplinary interactions among its members and researchers worldwide.
Over the past 17 years, our esteemed members have contributed their expertise to various fields. In order to showcase the remarkable advancements, innovations, and breakthroughs made by our members, we initiated the introduction of the SACM Medal, SACM Computational Mechanics Award, and SACM Young Investigator Award. These prestigious accolades aim to recognize and honour exceptional individuals in the field of computational mechanics who have demonstrated outstanding achievements and significant contributions.
The SACM awards aim to recognize and celebrate the significant contributions made by our members in the field of computational mechanics. By highlighting their achievements, we strive to inspire and motivate other researchers to pursue excellence and push the boundaries of knowledge in the field. These awards provide a platform to showcase ground-breaking research and innovative methodologies, fostering knowledge sharing and collaboration within the computational mechanics community.
